Adding volume and hydration to these areas gives a more youthful appearance and reduces the appearances of these lines. It is also used to plump up thin lips. 

Restylane vs Juvederm: Juvederm can be safely used in any part of the face where lines and creases are found, including the mouth, nose, and forehead. Those who wish to contour their face may find this a valuable injection. It is also used for patients suffering from minor to moderate acne scarring. The primary active ingredient in Juvederm is hyaluronic acid, which is actually a natural component in the skin. There is very little risk of allergic reaction since it is a natural substance in the body, but it is not entirely safe for pregnant or nursing women. 

RESTYLANE

The Facts: Restylane is also based on hyaluronic acid and performs in a very similar fashion to Juvederm. It is also injected under the skin to volumize and hydrate the skin, leading to a reduction in the signs of aging. The main difference between the two treatments is that Restylane is less concentrated, which to some people means less powerful. To many people, it means it is slightly safer than the stronger Juvederm formula. 

Do They Really Work? This is the big question that you really want to concern yourself with. The answer cannot easily be given in written form because the exact effect the treatments have on the skin is largely determined by individual characteristics of the skin and the exact areas that treatment is needed in. For most people either treatment will be extremely effective at providing at least some relief from common signs of facial aging. Whether you get the desired results you want or not, this is a temporary fix for wrinkles, lines and other signs of aging in the face and neck. 

Restylane vs Juvederm: If you do like the appearance it gives, you will have to continually go back for further injections to maintain the look. While you may experience some very temporary redness, swelling, or general tenderness in the skin around the injection sites, there are very few complications or side effects to worry about with either of these treatments Since the natural active ingredient is already found in the body, there is limited worry about allergic reaction. Yet, a small percentage of the population may experience small bumps that form just under the skin surface, called granulomas. This is not a common occurrence and can be treated rather easily when it does occur. 

Restylane vs Juvederm? Well, if you are seriously unhappy with the signs of aging on your skin and want to get back that youthful glow of the recent past, either Restylane or Juvederm injections would be a safe alternative to Botox or other injections. They are more natural and have less side effects than the other options and have a proven track record so far as being highly effective for most people.
